Above is the video for AMC's new reality tv show: "Immortalized." It is the first (and most likely only, ever) reality show about taxidermy! Orlean was apparently ahead of the curve.
I didn't know where else to put this comment. BUT!!! That awkward moment when I'm watching NCIS and the brother of a killer is a taxidermist who is working on a panda bear and used a quote from Orleans essay!!! The quote where he took a black bear and a whatever bear and bleached it and sewed the two together to make the panda. -Found it interesting. -Krista
