8: reflecting
on others’ writing
1. On the class blog homepage, select two
students’ blogs from the blog roll.
2. For each student, read through their
assignments for the “Lifelike” unit. Leave at least two comments for each
student.
3. Now return to your own blog and read
through your assignments for the “Lifelike” unit. Make at least two comments on
your own posts. (Yes, you will be “talking” to yourself.)
4. On your own blog, create a post and title
it Assignment 8. Write one well-developed paragraph considering the following:

What
stood
out
or
surprised
you?
What
do
you
wish
you
had
noticed
that
someone
else
noticed?
How
do
you
think
the
other
writer(s)
were able to see those
things?

How will you go about writing
your next essay and making choices? How will you make use of your previous assignments and our
class discussion about “Lifelike”?
